Who is responsible and how to contact us
Polaris Enterprises Group LLC is responsible for the personal information handled by Agnes Vancouver for the purposes described below. Send privacy questions, requests or complaints to info@agnes-vancouver.com, with “Privacy request” in the subject. You may also write to our registered business address above.
Information and purposes
- Orders and delivery: name, email address, telephone number where supplied, billing and delivery addresses, items, transaction references and order history, to process purchases and deliver goods.
- Customer support: messages, return details and information or photos you provide, to answer questions and resolve order problems.
- Website and security: IP address, device and browser information, cookie identifiers and interactions with the store, to operate the cart and checkout, protect the service, prevent fraud and understand use where permitted.
- Marketing preferences: contact details and records of consent or opt-out, to manage promotional email or text messages where permitted.
Payment information is processed by Shopify and the payment providers offered at checkout. Agnes Vancouver does not store complete payment card numbers. Please do not email card details, passwords or unnecessary identity documents.
Consent and optional uses
We process information needed to fulfil your order, provide support, secure the store and meet legal obligations. Optional marketing and non-essential uses require the consent or other permission required by applicable law. Choosing not to receive promotional messages does not prevent a purchase. You can ask to withdraw consent for an optional use; we will explain any relevant consequence or legal limit.
Service providers and international processing
The store is hosted by Shopify. Information necessary for the relevant service is shared with payment providers, fulfilment suppliers, delivery carriers and providers supporting customer service, website operation, analytics or marketing. A delivery supplier receives the contact and order information needed for fulfilment. We may also disclose information where legally required or to address fraud, security or legal claims.
Our operator is in the United States and our fulfilment suppliers operate in Asia. Shopify and other providers may process information in Canada, the United States and other countries. Information processed outside Canada may be subject to local laws and lawful access by foreign authorities. You can contact us for further information about the service providers involved in your order or our international processing practices.
For information about Shopify's own practices, see Shopify's Privacy Policy.
Cookies and similar technologies
Essential technologies support security, the shopping cart and checkout. Analytics and advertising technologies, where enabled, may measure use of the store or campaign performance. Use any consent controls presented on the site and your browser's cookie settings to manage relevant choices. Blocking necessary cookies can affect checkout or other store functions. Browser settings do not necessarily remove information already held by us or by a service provider; contact us with questions about that information.
Email and text marketing
Promotional messages are separate from order, delivery and service messages. If you subscribe to marketing, you can follow the unsubscribe instructions in the message or contact us to opt out. Canadian marketing opt-outs must be honoured without delay and no later than 10 business days. Necessary communications about a purchase or a legal obligation may continue after a marketing opt-out.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including completing an order, providing support, resolving disputes and meeting accounting or other legal requirements. We may need to retain some records after a deletion request. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information; no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Access, correction, withdrawal and complaints
Subject to the law that applies, you may request access to your personal information and an explanation of its use and disclosure, ask for corrections, withdraw consent for optional processing, or ask about deletion and applicable retention limits. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity before releasing information. We will explain any legal reason that prevents us from granting a request in full.
Where PIPEDA applies, access requests are generally answered within 30 calendar days. Any lawful extension or refusal will be explained as required. Other applicable privacy laws may set different rights or deadlines. You may raise a complaint with us or with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the competent provincial privacy authority.
Policy changes
The revision date identifies this version. If we introduce a materially new use that requires consent, we will seek that consent as required rather than treating a policy update alone as permission.
